Ocean Spa was established in November 2004, with a view to improve the tourism and to provide sustainable services to the tourism sector of the Maldives and to act as an international tour operator.

Ocean Spa is managed and owned by experienced personnel from the Maldivian Tourism industry. The Managing Director, Mr. Abdullah Shareef, with 22 years of experience in the industry, former Director Sales & Marketing of Paradise Holidays (a leading 5 star hotel operator in the Maldives,) is the leading visionary behind the establishment and planning of the company.

We aim to market products from tourist destinations worldwide and provide unlimited services to those who require our services, with a high standard, and value for money for the discerning traveler.
 
We also aim to provide new and challenging solutions and ways which will benefit the tourist and travel industry. We aim to become a benchmark service provider for the Maldivian Travel and Tourism Industry.

Our very first goal is to reach a maximum in providing our services, without compromising our standards, and fulfill the commitments guaranteed by Ocean Spa Pvt. Ltd.

Within the first 06 months of setting up our company, we are proud to say we were providing marketing services to 70 percent of the resorts and hotels in the Maldives.

By summer 2007, Ocean Spa will be in a position to provide marketing services from 75 to 85 percent of the Maldivian Hotels, Resorts, and Safari vessels to your office PC via its own E-commerce online dynamic website oceanspamaldives.com We also aim to provide you with a system where you can get direct excess to availability and reservations.

Our clients today include, among others, the biggest tour operators from Italy and the Russian Federation. We are still expanding as rapidly as we can, without compromising our service standards.

A team of our dedicated staff provide meet and greet services at the airport, arrange transfer and pickup services and attend to any other needs of our clients. We have been rated as one of the best service providers by our client operators.
       
Staff strength at the start of the company was limited to 6 persons. However today we have a staff of over 20 flexible and dedicated staff. This will increase as we set up new services and the need for new talent and manpower rise. We are always recruiting the best talent and also training new personnel in line with our service policy of having the most service and customer oriented personnel in the industry.

In our constant quest for improvement and new areas to improve, we had isolated air services and handling as one of the critical areas that need our attention. There are a few companies in Maldives providing such services, however we feel that we would be able to provide those services with a higher standard and customized to the clients’ requirements.

To this end, we have setup a subsidiary company, dedicated to Air Travel and related services.

Ocean Spa Aviation Pvt Ltd was established in June 2005. This new company under the guidance of Mr. Arif Rasheed, who has 17 years of airline related experience, will target the air services sector to provide premium handling of aircraft and air passengers, as well providing unparalleled services in the field of travel arrangements and ticketing.

Within 3 months of being setup, our company has signed a contract with Air Italy S.p.a,  a new Italian venture providing service friendly air travel to the Italian and European Market. They started their operation into the Maldives from 20th December 2005, with an initial weekly service from Verona to Male’.

We are looking for other operators with similar goals for innovative and hassle free air travel from various destinations around the world. Our tourist market is one of the best in the world and there is an increasing demand for air travel from around the world into the Maldives. We aim to utilize this demand and work together with various airlines to provide passengers with a great travel experience.
