A subsidiary company of Ocean Spa, Ocean Spa Aviation Pvt. Ltd., was setup in June 2005 with a view to expanding our services to include all aspects of the travel industry, and to give our customers a seamless travel experience, we have incorporated air services and airline services as part of our corporate agenda.

Ocean Spa Aviation Pvt. Ltd., will offer a comprehensive flight handling, passenger and cargo handling, airline and ticketing services, ground handling and supervisory services.

The management of this company will be directed by persons with considerable experience in the airline industry, and will be headed by Mr. Arif Rasheed, who has 17 years of airline experience and all aspects of airline services.

He will be directly responsible for the organization and look into all aspects of customer requirements. We will also have trained personnel with experience in the field to ensure everything in the day-to-day operations is up to our customers’ high standards and expectations.

Services

As we have mentioned earlier, a comprehensive range of services will be offered by this new company, which will include but not limited to, the following.

Airline Supervisory Agent

We propose to act in the capacity of supervisory agents for airlines, and will undertake the following services on their behalf.

• Facilitating and processing of all requests and permits through the Department  of Civil Aviation (DCA), and Maldives Airports Company Limited, (MACL), Maldives Customs Service (Customs), and Department of Immigration and Emigration, (immigration)

• We will liaise on behalf of our client airlines’, for all necessary documentation and other requirements such as permits, regulations, clearances, etc, through all government and non-government agencies, departments and offices.
• Crew Co-ordination and services

Airlines crew will be provided with all necessary services to ensure they are able to carry out their duties and requirements without hindrance or delay.

• Accommodation and transfer services for crew

We will also liaise with resorts, hotels and other necessary establishments to provide proper accommodation and transfer services to and from the airport. We will also assist crew to arrange any other side trips excursions on request.

• Ground handling coordination

We will organize all necessary supervision and services to provide proper ground handling of client airlines’ to ensure operations into and out of MLE are up to the high standards as required by the airline concerned, and passenger and cargo movement are facilitated smoothly.

• Check-in supervision and coordination

Check-in and passenger services will be properly supervised and coordinated, to ensure customer satisfaction and ensure airline regulation and requirements are properly followed and completed in on time.

• Flight dispatch coordination

All aspects of flight handling will be carried out on a timely and regulated basis to ensure on time, scheduled operations.

• acting as a one stop clearing point for all financial transactions

We will act as a one stop clearing point for financial transactions for our clients, to all necessary government agencies and departments etc. This will cut down on the need to deal separately with various government agencies and other organizations, saving the clients much admin work and hassle.

• Passenger Services

Dealing with client airlines’ passenger requirements and any other problems that may arise in the course of operations, to ensure our clients’ customers are properly and satisfactorily taken care of.

• Ticketing Services

We will have trained personnel to offer comprehensive ticketing and flight booking services, changes to flight bookings, reissue of tickets etc.

• Cargo Services

We will also offer cargo services, including handling of cargo, sales and marketing of cargo space on our client airlines’, and also sourcing for outbound cargo, to assist our clients to maximize the profits from the operations through MLE.

• Excursions and side trips

We will offer our client airlines’ the added incentive of being able to offer a package deal to include a side trip or excursion.  For example the passengers booking through our clients may purchase a package to include 1 week stay in the Maldives followed by a 1 week stay in Sri Lanka before returning to their home country. We will make all necessary arrangements for this excursion trip once advised by the airline on passenger requirements.

• GSA

We propose to act as General Sales Agent for various offline and online airlines interested in operating in the Maldives.
We will provide both Passenger and Cargo Sales for our client airlines.
